Banana Bread

Banana Bread

 

Ingredients

  • 2 Very ripe medium size bananas (this is the key, if banana's are ripe you don't need much additional sugar and it enhance the banana flavor in the bread)
  • 1 Egg 
  • 5 tbsp Canola or Vegetable Oil or Melted Butter 
  • 3/4 Cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla 
  • 1-1/2 Cup All purpose flour 
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar (If Banana's are not so sweet then adjust the sugar accordingly upto 1 cup). I usually prefer 1/2 a cup sugar with some chocolate chips.
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda 
  • 2-3 tbsp Semi Dark Chocolate Chips (Optional) 
  • 2-3 Chopped Walnuts (Optional)

Directions

  1. In a bowl mash the bananas with the fork. 
  2. Add all the liquid ingredients now - Oil/butter, vanilla extract, milk, egg
  3. Add sugar and mix it well
  4. In the same bowl add flour, baking soda and gently mix it. Don't overdo it otherwise Bread will come out as too firm
  5.  Add some walnuts and chocolate chips in the batter
  6. Put the batter in the greased dusted pan ready for baking
  7. On top garnish the bread with some chopped walnuts and chocolate chips before baking 
  8. Bake it in the pre heated oven at 350 Degrees F for 50-55 mins

Banana bread will be too moist and enriched with banana flavor, enjoy it with a cup of coffee or with some whipped cream or a slice of it in the kids lunch box.
